Doesn't Last more than 3 years February 24, 2010 L. Wellner (Central New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's a convenient mixer and does a good job whipping up eggs and light batters. I have gone through two of these. Even though the warranty on both mixers were for 3 years, both of them stopped working after about, well, three years. The plastic parts inside don't hold up, and parts are not available for fixing it. Also be warned that the product registration card is only for marketing purposes. When I called, they did not have my product registered with customer service. The only way to get a replacement mixer if yours breaks is to present a receipt, so keep your receipt: you will need it in about three years.
Cuisinart HM-70 Handy and Powerful February 22, 2010 Carolynn Amwake (Tallahassee, FL USA) I always have Cuisinart mixers. Most hand mixers have beaters that are chrome plated and can't be washed in the dishwasher because they will rust. This is not true of the Cuisinart. You can feel that your beaters are sanitized by washing in the dishwasher. This mixer feels even more powerful then my previous model. Very happy with my purchase.
Misled into buying whisk February 14, 2010 G.F.M. (Greensboro, NC, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have only had this mixer for a few days and have used the whisk attachment only. It did a fine job. My observation is that the mixer is noisy, but not unbearably so. I will write another review after I have used the product more extensively.
The reason for writing this review is that we were encouraged on the information page to purchase the whisk attachment, so we did. The shipping cost for it was nearly as much as the whisk itself. The problem is that the mixer is shipped with a whisk in the carton. Now we have this extra whisk, which we could return, but then we will have paid the cost of shipping it back in addition to the cost of shipping it, which is more than the whisk is worth.
I believe that Amazon owes us a refund of the entire amount of this order. Of course, it is virtually impossible to find a way to talk to anyone at Amazon so I am writing this out of frustration.
Hand mixer February 12, 2010 B. Rea (North East, USA) Bought it as a gift and had a chance to witness it being used. It is very quiet compared to other mixers and does the job nicely. The recipient loves it.
Greta Hand Held Mixer February 12, 2010 Jacque A. Edmonds I bought this one to replace a less expensive model I had. I love it. The slow start is a great feature. Very happy with the product.
